“ Holding someone’s hand when their dying is probably the most present  you’ll ever be. Why wait for someone to get on their deathbed to really get to that level of intimacy” - Eoin Finn 🙏🏼 - This week I’ve been sharing with my classes how a few days before Kay passed I was present for her and my father having the most intimate and heartbreakingly beautiful moment I’ve ever been witness to. I walked into their room in the early hours of the morning. They were holding hands. She was lucid. Both tears in their eyes. I wanted to leave. It felt like not my place. My dad asked me to stay. She said she was scared. He said he was too. They kissed thru tears and it was so raw and pure and real. ♥️ - It wasn’t the fairy tale or the way we make “love” look in the bridal magazines. This was a life lived. This was 30+ years of together and all that comes with that. This was everything in one snapshot. - One moment. ♥️ - I keep going back to this quote by @blissology. Why wait. Why do we? I’m not doing that anymore. I’m living more with my heart in my hand. With my love on the forefront. No more fear. I want big “blow the roof off this shit” things in my life. Even if it’s painful and heartbreaking. Even if it hurts when it ends. Even if i fail. Or soar. How blessed was I to be part of that love. To see what it looks like all used up and perfectly worn in. To be so so so loved. Not sexy or something that’ll sell an ad. This is the stuff that breaks us open and creates and allows us to be preset to the humanness that is everywhere all the time. ♥️ - I’m choosing it. Eyes open. Heart in hand. Let’s do this you guys. The whole wide world And it’s pain and joy need us.
Why I sweat…💙 - Put simply to get out of my own way. I need it like air. It’s my love language. It’s the release I need to be present to everything this incredible heart-breaking huge awesome life I live asks of me. I never regret. And always walk away feeling not only lighter but clearer and a better version of my dry (non sweaty self). 👌🏻😅 - How I hydrate. Smart.
